Royal Purple Barrier Fluids are pure, non-reactive synthetic fluids that provide superior lubrication and cooling for double and tandem mechanical seals. They deliver very stable seal performance over an extremely wide temperature range, satisfying most seal service requirements.
Barrier Fluid FDA is sanctioned under FDA CFR Title 21 and NSF Certified for H1 service — ideal where purity is essential. It is essentially inert, allowing use with most hydrocarbon gases and aqueous acids and bases. Barrier Fluid FDA is an undyed product.
Barrier Fluid GT is recommended for elevated temperatures where a nitrogen purge is not an option and FDA purity is not required. GT offers similar physical properties to FDA with additional oxidation stability. Also an undyed product.

Provides outstanding lubrication and cooling to double and tandem mechanical seal faces — extending seal life and significantly reducing maintenance frequency and costs.
Maintains fluid stability and viscosity across an extremely wide operating temperature range — satisfying most seal service requirements without modification.
Barrier Fluid FDA is sanctioned under FDA CFR Title 21 and NSF Certified for H1 service — approved for food and pharmaceutical processing environments.
Rapidly and completely separates from water — protecting seal components from oil-water emulsification and corrosion that would shorten seal and bearing life.
Essentially inert and compatible with most hydrocarbon gases, aqueous acids and bases — suitable for a wide range of process media and seal elastomer materials.
Barrier Fluid GT is recommended for elevated temperature applications where a nitrogen purge system is not available — simplifying installation and reducing system cost.
